Take Your Dog For A Ride Holiday

D2D has a challenge to name your own holiday.  Have you ever checked out some of the corny holidays?  Well, mine for today is Take Your Dog For a Ride.  This is a new digi by Sandy over at OWH.  I added the door.

Pre-colored Digital

You know how much I am enjoying these pre-colored digitals.  Here is a new one from Doodle Pantry .  The color challenge at Stamp TV is lilac and mango, so even though I try to use a GKD stamp for that challenge, I couldn't pass up the chance to use this digital with those colors already done for me.

Babies, Button, and Bows

Those are the requirements for a challenge at City Crafters this week.  I don't like making baby cards but I did make this card to send to OWH .  It is a little different in that I don't think it will be used as a congratulations card but more of a card to send home to a small child.  The colors aren't really typical baby colors either.  This DP has been in my stash for probably 8 years or more.  Time to get rid of some pieces.  Okay, enough talk.

There's a Dragon in My Bathtub

I love making cards for kids but usually the cards are for my grandchildren.  But for a little while, I am going to concentrate on making kids cards to send to Operation Write Home http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/.
This digital is by Stamping Dragon Design - so cute.  I used a Fiskars template for the embossing on C/S.

More Sweet Stuff

Here is another card using the digital set, Sweet Stuff, by Clear Dollar Stamps.
I used the sketch at Sweet Stop and new digi paper by Daisy Doodles.  I love working with the digital, changing the sizes of images and arranging them without masking.

Time for Something Sweet

Just love this digi set by Clear Dollar Stamps.  I combined several challenges in this card. http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/ has a challenge to depict something sweet on the card.  I was going to use a cute little girl image but then thought about this great set by CDS.  I used the sketch at http://clearlyistamp.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/03/clearly-inspired-challenge-24-cic24.html .  The brads are new from CDS as well.

Treasures Worth More Than Gold

There is a challenge at Stampin Sisters In Christ to use something we treasure - bling, flowers, something new or something we have been saving for a long time.  Even though I am using new buttons and ribbon from Clear Dollar Stamps, I am also depicting something I treasure - one of my grand-daughters.  I have five but this image reminds me of one of them - feminine, quiet spirit, enjoying a breeze.  No way to put a price on treasures like grandchildren, is there?  The other two challenges that I combined for this card just seemed so appropriate  - the color challenge  at Clearly i Stamp and the sketch at Pink Gem.

Looking Forward To Spring

I forget to use my bird stamp set and yet I love birds. So I pulled it out to make this card  - Card Patterns sketch. The flowers are more of those smooshed flowers - pressing them into a shape while wet.

Easter Lilies - Not

Easter card and lilies even though I don't think of this kind of lily for Easter.   Still working on a few more Easter cards to send to OWH before the March 18 deadline. The lily image is by Paper Cupcakes.  I cut it out of the frame that it is drawn in.  The sentiment is GinaK.

Mother's Day Cards for OWH

As you know, I am a big fan of Operation Write Home http://www.owhhomefrontblog.org/.  There is need for Mother's Day Cards so the next few posts will be for moms.   I used a stamp by Verve, stamping it in three colors and then cutting out sections of flower, layering each section with dimensionals.  Sentiment is computerized.
