It is still very warm here in the PNW so I took a bit of time in the afternoon to come indoors to color.
For this card I used two Power Poppy digital stamps; the Pure Prairie Bouquet and the sentiment from Rose and Chamomile.
I tend to print the images too large so this is definitely a CAS card because there is no room for any embellishments! With the size of the print, I decided to cut around a few flowers so they would extend over the first Elizabeth Craft Stitched Oval but lie on top the blue oval. I cut the sentiment out with a Simon Says banner. Does anyone recognize the background paper? It is a piece from SU and I estimate it is about 17 years old! That is embarrassing ! But I knew I would use it someday. 😃

Time and Roses
You all know the saying, "Take time to smell the roses." Easier said than done. This summer has been SO BUSY. I'm having a hard time staying on top of things - forget the idea of getting ahead. So with this busy summer of LOTS of grandchildren, other out of town guests, garden, flower beds, running errands for an aging mom, I have to constantly remind myself to enjoy the summer, the produce in the garden, the blessing of having grands here, and yes, the roses.
Here is a card I made a while back (when I had free time ! lol) but posting here today and at the Dies R Us Inspirational blog because it was my turn to share there.
The roses, jasmine, and stitched oval are all Elizabeth Crafts Designs dies. I love them. There are so many little pieces to these roses but I find it relaxing to sponge color on each petal and then assemble them. I had decided on the colors before I went scrounging around in the designer paper pieces. Pretty thrilled that I still had this piece with the roses on it.
I have three huge bouquets of dahlias and gladiolas in the house right now but I should be able to pick enough roses this evening for another bouquet. One can never have too many vases of flowers. That's why we have 40 rose bushes and 20 dahlia plants.
Thanks for looking.
