Why frogs? Several reasons.
1. I think this pre-colored digital image by Doodle Pantry is just so cute.
2. During this time of early Spring, when we step outside in the evening, there are a gazillion frogs croaking in and around the pond nearby. One of the many reasons why we love living in the countryside. (You can see it does not take much to please us! LOL)
And #3 which is the most important. I am so thankful that my DH loves me unconditionally, flaws and all. Recently I expressed that to him, thanking him for sticking with me even through the tough times, even through my years of depression, even as I age. In other words - warts and all. That is my sentiment inside: Thank you for loving me all these years, warts and all.
The sketch:
The image and designer paper are both Doodle Pantry. The sentiment is computer generated and then cut out with a banner die. The image and layer are cut with Spellbinder ovals. Heart is a metal brad.
I know this post is long but I just have to tell you one more thing. The candy dots are melted Pearler beads. Really! I saw that on a blog this week, tried it, and love how beautiful and round they come out.
Okay. That is all for now.

ReplyDeleteThis is as cute as can be. Love listening to all those little tree frogs that come out in the spring. So glad you shared it with us for the Scrapy Land Challenge.
ReplyDeleteTotally adorable. I like the warts and all. We certainly have ours and have found ways after all these years just to laugh about them. Cute card, Marsha!
ReplyDeleteAwwww! What an absolutely sweet card! I enjoyed reading about why you chose the images and what frogs meant to you! I never thought of frogs as romantic before, but I really loved what you had to say about you and your hubby. Very tender words! And of course, I loved the card, too! It is full of whimsicality and energy with those great colors and I love how you set the oval frame against the background with the plaid in between. It is both classy and cute and I'm sure your man will love it! I know I did! Thanks for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
