Fun New Spin For A Card

While checking out techniques at the Power Poppy blog site, I saw this idea and knew I needed to try it.  I wish I had followed the directions more carefully (I glued the designer paper to the card before I put the string in - bad mistake! but eventually I was able to lift the paper enough to put the string through.)

Inside:
I'm still not totally happy with the inside so I think I will add a "frame around the sentiment piece (smooth, not another scallop cut).
All the cuts were made with Spellbinder Circles and Scallops.
The rose is a Power Poppy digital image that I colored with Copics and Prisma pencils.  The sentiment is Stampin Up.
Thanks to Allison Cope over at Power Poppy for the great idea.

  1. I just finished a masculine one (for the PP challenge) with a woodgrain background too - posting later this week-end. My first
time to try this technique and it was fun!
I love the pretty card you've created -- those subtle roses on the bottom of your dp are perfect! So happy you linked this up to Cropstop -- I hope I'll see more of work brightening up the gallery soon!
