It is time (actually past time) to get my back to school cards finished. Two grandchildren have already started and 6 more next week.
I wanted to keep them simple but so far, this card is the only one that I didn't spend a lot of time with fussy cutting, etc. This great schoolroom scene is by
Doodle Pantry. The set is School Sheep.
I super-imposed the words onto the chalk board and then after printing, went over the black letters with a white Signo pen. I rubbed a little white craft ink onto the board to give the appearance of chalk dust. Other additions - silver to the pencil, ribbon marker in book, necklace and flower in teacher's hair. Even though I used a pre-colored version, I did add some color here and there for more highlights and depth.
I was going to make this a one layer card but cut it and put it on a green base. Just can't do those one layer cards.

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card. I just love those lamb images. My son is back in school as of today also. Ok it's college but it seems just little yesterday that he was starting 1st grade.
