Who Am I?

When it comes right down to it, that is a tough question.  Stampin Sisters in Christ has a challenge to create a card or project that show our style - to show who we really are?  So what is my style?  I guess the style of cards I create really do show who I am.  I like simple, yet pretty.  Not much bling (I usually wear only simple earrings and a chain necklace).  Not many embellishments but maybe layers; I find it hard to make one layer cards.  I enjoy good, clean, clever humor as you will see by the inside of the card. I love yellow because I need the sunny color here in the Pacific NW.  I hate throwing anything away - I used 3 scraps on this card.  So are you ready to see who I am?
And for the inside:
I didn't realize that my last post had lemons too until I went to post this new card.  I knew I was going to love this new set by Mark's Finest Papers. The chocolate bar is a digital by Meljen Design.  And the sentiments on front and back are from the Mark's Finest set "Pucker Up"

Love You Warts And All

Isn't that just the cutest saying?  And really that is what unconditional love is - loving no matter what the person looks like, no matter what the annoying habits, etc.    1st Corinthians 13 comes to mind.
The heart digi is by Marlene and the frog is a stamp in the GKD set, Just So Hoppy.

Taking a Break from Valentines

Jenny Suchin is having a Giveaway on her blog.  Here is her link http://www.weememories.net/2012/01/huge-giveaway.html
I have been working on Valentines (my favorite cards to make) but took a break today to make a card with flowers and butterfly.  Butterflies always remind me of new life, new beginnings, Spring.  There is a challenge at Unity http://www.theunitystampco-challenge.blogspot.com/2012/01/new-beginnings-challenge.html to create a card depicting new beginnings.
The sketch is Simon Says http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/01/simon-says-use-domis-sketch.html
I used new stamps - sentiment from Unity's Good Morning, butterfly from Unity's Now and Always,  and flowers from Ippity's Thanks for all Things.

Sending My Love

I am having a ball making cards during this winter storm.  It is 10 degrees F out, with the 35-40 mph wind, that makes it  - 14.  With snowdrifts 3 - 4 feet high in the driveway and a sports truck that is not 4 WD, I am staying put.  Just hard to get the house warm. Even with my little space heater going full blast in my office, I am not really toasty.  But at least we still have power.
I made another Valentine / I love you/ Missing you card to send off to OWH.  For this one I used the CPS sketch and a digital image by Paula at OWH .
Used my new border punch by EK Success.  Stampin Sisters in Christ - http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2012-01-17T03:00:00-08:00&max-results=1
