More Puppies for Christmas

Aren't these just the cutest images?  They are pre-colored digital images by Vince Ballard.  Why color when these are done so beautifully? Actually I do love to color but these are beautifully done and it does save some time.

65 Done 25 To Go

The goal I set for myself was to make 100 Christmas cards for the Caring Hearts Card Drive.  It would have been a lot easier if I had picked a sketch, a stamp, and did an assembly line.  But, oh no.  Not me.  I have to make almost every card different!  Actually, I do make around 4 of the same, then on to a new image or sketch or paper.  Here is a card that I made four of using the sketch at Sketch Saturday.

Sketch:
I printed the image on blue and on white so I cut cut out the center and paste it onto the blue. Sparkle is made with a Sakura Clear Star pen.

Sweet Stampin - favorite combo (blue and green)

Fall Fun

What a beautiful Fall it was this year.  Lots of wind the last few days so the trees are losing all their beautiful leaves.  I love Autumn and all the glorious reds, yellow, oranges - my favorite colors.
This image by Eureka always makes me happy.

I colored all the leaves with Copics .  The word "fall" is a stamp by Close to My Heart.

Horse Lover's Birthday

It was not my intention to post a card today but I just finished this card for one of my granddaughters who is turning seven.  I loved how it turned out so I decided to post it.

The plaid BG is digital paper by JAK.
Stamp is from a Inkadinkado set.
I love my new dies with the piercing and stitches.  As you can see I used two but for the black oval, I traced the smaller die and cut it out free hand.
The #7 banner sticker is from The Kraft Outlet.  I made the right corner embellishment just by cutting at triangle, sponging, and adding a star cut out with a Verve die.

I took a pic after I personalized a note at the bottom - that's why it is blotted out on the pic here.

Thanks for looking and commenting.

CAS Christmas

Another card using vintage stickers and some vintage looking background paper.
This card, seriously, took me about 5 minutes to make.  I used the clear star pen to put a little frost on the berries.  Looks pretty bad in the photos but better IRL.
The stickers are word strips by Tim Holz.

Merry Christmas Deer

Last year (or was it two years ago?) I made a tag for a Christmas present and ended up not using it.  So, of course, I saved it.  When I pulled out the bin of Christmas stamps this year, there it was.  It was a little too large to put on top a card so I copied the idea making it smaller then used the Tuesday Morning Sketch for them.
The images, flowers, and background paper are digital by Diane's Daydream Designs.  The sentiment is a Verve Stamp.   I put silver Stickles on the flower centers, sparkles on the tree, and the body of the deer.  Little bit of sponging on the edges of the tag with Tim Holz ink.

Hello You

Taking a break from Christmas cards and I wanted to tackle a sketch at MFT.
Sketch:

The main panel is a digital stamp by Stamplorations.  I colored the blossoms with  Copics and sponged a Tim Holz ink on the rest.  After I glued on the words (MFT dies) , I traced around the letters with a gray Copic so they were more visible.
Very simple but I love how it turned out.

Vintage Stickers

My stash of Christmas paper, stamps, and stickers is overwhelming.  As long as I am making Christmas cards to send to people in nursing homes, I decided to use up some vintage stickers.  Maybe they will take a trip down memory lane.
Using the sketch  at Tuesday Morning Sketch, I put together this quick and easy card.
Love the BG paper from my stash.  I added a few drops of Stickles for interest.

Dogs and Slobbery Kisses

When I saw the challenge at Words 2 Craft By - Happiness is a Warm Puppy- , I knew immediately which images I wanted to use for some of the Christmas cards I am making for SAS4Kids.
This one I am showing today is one of the first digi stamps I ever downloaded - so many years ago.
I printed off three images, colored them with Copics, then didn't know what to do with them until I saw the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Sketch:
I decided not to back the image with a solid color.  I love the stitched edge (Die-namics die) and popping the image up with dimension tape gave it the little bit of interest I thought it needed.

Turning 10 is a big deal.  After all, you are now in double digits!
I try to make the 10th birthday special for each of my grandkids.
Here is a card I made for the next one turning 10.

and the inside made with stamps:

The #1 is made by printing an outline of that number onto designer paper.   The "0" was made by cutting out the pic and bordering frame with Spellbinder dies - circles and scallops.
Stars are cut with a Verve die.

Circles and Stripes

Apparently my favorite shape is a circle because for the last eight out of 10 cards I have made, I  have cut circles.  I am pretty dependent on sketches and it just so happen that some of the challenge blogs have circles in their sketches.  I rest my case.
So here is a card made with another circle sketch found at MFT.

The sketch:
I really like how this card turned out.  Stamploration offered a free digital coloring page which I printed then fussy cut a grouping of the flowers.  I wanted to go with the photo inspiration for one of their challenges so I picked up on the stripes and some of the colors.  Copics were used to add color to the blossoms.

Circles frame was cut with two sizes of the MFT Di-namics.

Another Christmas Card

Using the same sketch at Die Cuttin Divas, I made another Christmas card to send off to Caring Hearts.
Again I used a digital tag and Doodle Pantry images for the trees.
Circle is cut with a Circle Di-namics.  The embellies are melted Perler beads.

Pumpkin Time

Yes, I love pumpkins and Autumn leaves so why not use both?

The sketch - MFT, flipping it  to landscape.

The pumpkins are a GKD stamp.  Image colored with Copics.
Leaves are cut out with Impression Obsession leaf dies.
Circles are made with MFT Circle Di-namics.
After cutting everything out and gluing all the pieces, I didn't like the finished product so I added some piercing.   Better but still not crazy about it.

Tuesday Throwdown - leaves
MFT - sketch
Scrapyland - anything with die cuts

Grandmas Are Important

Never underestimate the importance of being a grandparent.  Distance and busyness do make it difficult to stay in touch or involved in the lives of some of our grandchildren but we do try.  It is so important to be a positive influence and to be one of their fans.
I made a card to send to two of my grands who live several states away.  I want them to know that I think about them, pray for them, and wish I could be with them more often.
This digital image is by Dearie Dolls.  The sentiment is saved in my sentiment file but I am not sure of the source (I am almost sure it is Gingers House blog)
The heart is a sticker.
