Mug of Love

Here is another Valentine with a masculine feel.  Inside it says "Sending a whole Latte Love"

Don't you love this Darice embossing folder? And rubbing on a little Holtz distress ink really shows off the pattern.  The heart was cut out with my Silhouette.  The image is Market Street which I colored with Copics and Prisma pencils then cut out and backed using Spellbinder circles and Die-namic Circles.

Black and White Valentine

Do you find it difficult to make Valentines for guys?  I do. Every year I make Valentines for each of my family members (4 daughters, their husbands, 2 sons, their wives, 5 granddaughters, 7 grandsons).  The grandsons aren't too much of a problem, although one is a teenager now, but I do find it hard to make cards for my sons and SIL's.  It is different when making one for your husband because you can be more sentimental but I don't want to be too "smoochy" with the other men in my life.  Anyway, a long intro to say that this is one of the cards I came up with.  Because of time restraints this year, I am breaking tradition and making this one for all the guys. I usually make each card different for each individual.

The sketch is at Stamploration
My Washi tape doesn't get much attention but that is what I used behind the sentiment cutout.  The sentiment is actually a SVG file that I printed but did not cut.  It is cut out with a DIe-namic Stitched Rectangle.  The little hearts are from a Verve Stamp set.

Floral Thanks

Amidst the need to make Valentines comes a need for a thank you card.  This was really fun to make.
I remembered this technique from a video by Jennifer Mcguire so thought I'd give it a try.

I used a digital stamp by Stamplorations then cut out the word "thanks".  After attaching the main piece to the blue card base, I cut out another "thanks" of same color of blue and fit it into the negative space, filling the center of the "a" and "k" with pieces from the main panel cut outs.
Just applied a bit of Copics to the centers of the flowers and outlined the letters with a super fine magic marker so the word would stand out.   LOVE the results.
My inspiration came from Deepti's cards shown below:

Sweet Bunny Valentine

Things were supposed to slow down after Christmas.  Well, they didn't here.  Hoping to make a few Valentines this next week before heading off for a vacation (where is is warm and dry!).  If I get enough made, I will send some to Send a Smile 4 Kids but I have to make 12 for my own grandchildren too.
This is a new digital image at From the Heart.

After cutting out the image with a Die-namics Stitch Rectangle, I sponged Tim Holtz pink distress ink on the edges. The bunny is colored with Copics.  The heart is outlined with Stickles.

Every Card Has A Story

As I said in a previous post,  I love the fact that we can make cards for specific reasons and /or occasions unique to the recipient.  Here is another card that is not beautiful and not even particularly cute  - but here is the story:
Two of our grandchildren that live over an hour away came to spend the night this past weekend.  We thought we had gathered up and packed everything before sending them home.  But after they left, I found their toothbrushes and toothpaste.  When I texted to say what I found, our 7 year old granddaughter told her mom, "Maybe Grandma could mail them to us with one of her wonderful cards."  Now how can I let that go by?

Because I am under time pressures with another project, I made this pretty simple, using all digital images.  I didn't even take time to color them; used pre-colored images.  Both images and background paper are Doodle Pantry (closed now 😢).  The sketch is MFT.
The tube of toothpaste is cut out with a Die-namic Stitched rectangle and backed with green cardstock cut out with the next size up.
I'm not sure my granddaughter with consider this one of the "wonderful" cards, but I think they will get a kick out of it and know I made it with them in mind.   That's what counts.

No Bones About It

My new MISTI arrived yesterday.  I could hardly wait to play with it and I got a chance today.  Yeah.
The Happy Valentine's Day sentiment was part of the stamp but I wanted to separate it and put it on a banner.  With the help of the Misti, I was able to do that.   Banner is a MFT die.  BG embossing folder is Darice.  Stamp is High Hopes.

Miss Piggy

Because I make 24 Valentines each year (all different and personal), I decided I better get a start.  Besides, I wanted to use this new digital stamp by Dearie Dolls.  One of my granddaughters is crazy about pigs .  I usually try to put a pig on each card I make for her.  So I am pretty excited when I get a new pig image.

The image was colored with Copics and then cut out with a Die-namic Stitched Rectangle.  The row of hearts is cut with my Silhouette Portrait.  Background paper is Doodle Pantry.
